Seventh Graders Luna, Nicole, Amy, Irene and Martin will be running the LA Marathon on Sunday as part of the Students Run LA program (eighth grade captain Millen, will be in DC, but trained with the team). They’ll be joined by Ms. Nakada, Mr. Tarula and Mr. Gantt.
From Ms. Nakada: “Signs and cheers along the course for our Emerson SRLA members and for all of the SRLA athletes are much appreciated. We hope to see folks on the course.
The Mormon Temple is at mile 19 and we are telling loved ones this is a great place to catch us. If we start around 8:00 am, the first in our group will pass by the temple around 11 and everyone else will follow and need cheers around there.”
Middle and high school students from more than 150 schools from all over Los Angeles will participate in the Marathon with Students Run LA.
